Brought together by entrepreneurship and contracting opportunities within a growing Alaskan economy, the engineering expertise of the owners has been a driving force in the success of Tryck Nyman Hayes, Inc. The firm originated in 1953 when Charles W. Tryck joined the firm of Rutledge, Johnson & Associates, which was founded in 1951. Frank Nyman became a partner in 1958 creating Tryck, Nyman and Associates. In 1960, Joe L. Hayes joined them creating Tryck, Nyman & Hayes. Incorporated in 1991, the principal owners of the firm are Ted Trueblood and Michael Shoemaker. Norman Gutcher, Frank Nyman and Shaun McFarlane are also owners of the firm.

Grounded in the vision and leadership of our owners, TNH has grown from a 3-person office to 75 professional and technical personnel with projects throughout Alaska, the Pacific Rim, and around the world. We are an Alaska-based firm with offices in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau and Wasilla as well as Kingston, Washington.
