Internships

TNH is always interested in receiving inquiries and resumes for internships in the following departments: Civil, Structural, Waterfront, Railroad, Highway, Environmental, Landscape Architecture.

Responsibilities:

When first hired, the duties will primarily be AutoCAD drafting. During the first year after regular employment, the drafting work will expand to include design tasks based on ability and staffing requirements. Within two years of full-time employment, the candidate should be capable of spending most of his/her time providing integrated computer design and drafting.

Minimum Requirements:

Ideally, the candidate will have completed 2 years towards an ABET accredited Civil Engineering degree. The successful candidate will be employed on nearly full-time basis through the summer and be expected to work at least 16 hours per week during the school semesters. Following graduation, the position would likely become regular full-time, depending on the available workload. The candidate should have experience with AutoCADD/LDD. Highway design and construction experience is desirable.
