Waterfront Engineering

TNH offers a dynamic team of coastal and marine engineers with nearly 90 years of combined waterfront experience. Offering a full range of services from preliminary planning through construction administration, TNH has completed projects ranging from under $100,000 to over $40 million in ports and harbors across Alaska, Washington, and other locations worldwide. We offer specialized services in the area of structural condition assessment and retain a licensed in-house Engineer Diver for underwater investigation.

Having our key engineers “on the docks” from project inception to construction completion helps us to design stable, permittable, cost-effective solutions. Our projects take us from the picturesque communities of Southeast Alaska’s Inside Passage, to the North Slope, to working harbors along the remote and rugged Aleutian chain, where we develop engineered solutions to some of the world’s most challenging wind, wave, ice and tidal conditions.
